Jérôme Chasques

PARTNER

Co-founder and Managing Director of multiple tech companies in France (with two exits in 2000 and 2012), Jerome spent 10 years in the US working on digital & B2B online services.
Jérôme joined BlackFin Capital Partners in 2013 as Operating Partner and managed a portfolio structure, Comparadise, which regroups multiple insurance and lending aggregators.
Passionate about innovation, particularly in Fintech and Insurtech, Jerome was named in 2018 Venture Partner at BlackFin Tech.
Jérôme is Senior Advisor Latour Capital, focusing on financial services, tech and B2B services midcap investments.

Jérôme is advisor and co-investor in several start-ups in Europe and Asia and has extensive experience in management, team empowerment, build-ups, M&A, and business acceleration.

Jérôme graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds a Masters Degree in Business Law.

GERULF KINKELIN

PARTNER

Gerulf is a senior expert feeding industry with innovations and technology, as well as shaping new ecosystems and partnerships, finding opportunities to generate significant new business.

As head of sales at Matra Nortel Communications - now Airbus Defense and Space - in the late 90s, he lead the implementation of public safety digital radio networks to profitability and built the strategy to host fire brigades on police networks, generating considerable additional growth.

As head of business development àt Thales in the early 2000s, he generated the unprecedented Scorpion Army 2 Billion € program, applying the network centric warfare concept to the new generation of combat platforms and leading the industrial consortium with Safran and Nexter.

As electronics innovation director at PSA Group, he introduced fast-track innovations such as USB Box. He jointly founded the Genivi Alliance with BMW and Intel to accelerate and secure infotainment developments for automotive players. He then lead the 3B€/year engine cooperation with Ford and reshaped the powertrain product line of PSA for the next decade.

He founded Comonvent in 2015 and brought cutting-edge technologies developed by startup companies in new markets such as autonomous driving, industrial IoT, cybersecurity addressed by large players.

Gerulf holds engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique, ENSTA and a masters in political studies from IEP Paris.

LAURENT THEREZIEN

PARTNER

Laurent has an extensive experience in high growth environments, holding various roles, from executive, to advisory, board and investor roles. 

 

12 years in Fintech, Laurent was a top executive at Edenred (payment), leading its international development in Europe and Asia-Pac, through organic growth, acquisitions and partnerships. Then, leading digital, direct distribution and marketing at Aviva (Insurance) and more recently as a VC Partner at BlackFin. 

 

7 years in E-commerce, at ClubMed on its international distribution, then leading the european expansion at Lastminute.com, and participated to its IPO in 2001, and then an executive and early shareholder at Voyage Privé.

 

7 years in advisory, board, and investor roles, exclusively in tech, both BtoC (e-commerce/marketplace) and BtoB (payment, digital conversion, NLP, Augmented reality) with strong support from concept to exit phase, and in some cases transformation and reboot.

 

Ex-McKinsey, Laurent holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a graduate from ESCP Europe.
